Special Poornahuti Homa Scheduled for August 14 to Pray for Darshan?

As the actor Darshan Thoogudeepa is behind the bars in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, and no one knows when he will be released from the jail on bail.  It is said that the police have strong evidence, and they have gathered all the evidence to ensure severe punishment for all the accused, including Pavitra Gowda and Darshan. Now, a special puja is being organized under the leadership of Sandalwood artists to pray for Darshan’s release. According to sources, a special Poornahuti Homa will be held on August 14 at the Artists’ Association office in Bangalore, and all artists have been invited to participate, said local media reports.

It is said that this special puja is being organized under the leadership of actor-producer Rockline Venkatesh and actor Doddanna, said the news sources.

Darshan, who used to make at least one film a year in the Kannada film industry, bringing life to cinema artists and theaters, is now in jail. Some other actors are making pan-India films that take years to complete. Even theater owners had requested that big actors should make at least two films a year. Now, with Darshan in jail, it’s a big blow to the film industry.

In the first half of this year, Kannada films haven’t made much noise at the box office. Praying for better performance of Kannada films in the future could be another reason for conducting this puja, said the sources.
